An event titled “A Dialogue on Biodiversity in Iran” was held on the evening of Sunday, June 10th, in collaboration with the Nature Institute at Alef BookCity.
At the beginning of this event, an introduction was presented by Mr. Alireza Naderi and Mr. Masoud Johnson. They introduced the ecosystems of Iran, the biodiversity of plant and animal species, as well as a brief history of the evolution of biodiversity globally – summarizing the views of experts in this field for the attendees.
The event continued with an open discussion in a question-and-answer format among the participants and guests, focusing on challenges and threats to the conservation and maintenance of ecosystems, environmental ethics, tourism, nutrition, and more.
At the end of the program, a selection of books in this field was introduced for children, teenagers, and adults to further their specialized knowledge and reading. These books were made available to the audience.
For readers unfamiliar with BookCity: BookCity is a well-known chain of bookstores in Iran that often hosts cultural and educational events. The “Alef” branch is one of its locations where such events take place.
