The official opening of the Darous BookCity took place on the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), attracting a large number of culture and art enthusiasts. The event was held on Saturday evening, September 31, 2024, with the presence of notable figures such as Ehsan Abdipour, a talented writer and director, and Emran Miri, a well-known poet and ghazal writer. The ceremony was attended by officials from the BookCity Institute, as well as many members of the cultural community and book lovers.
The event featured live music performed by the Sina Zokayi music group, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Ehsan Abdipour read several pieces of his charming writings in his signature warm and friendly tone, engaging in conversation with guests afterward. Emran Miri also delighted attendees with readings of his ghazals. Throughout the event, the Sina Zokayi music group performed live, further enhancing the lively ambiance.
The Darous café and BookCity, managed by Mr. Meyhar Hasani, is located in a beautiful setting at Varasteh Street, corner of Masi Street, No. 22. It welcomes visitors daily from 9 AM to 10 PM.
