UNICEF Iran and BookCity Partner to Launch Nationwide Nowruz Reading Campaign
UNICEF, in collaboration with BookCity , is excited to announce a new reading campaign timed to coincide with Nowruz celebrations. Running from March 10, 2025 (20 Esfand 1403) to April 8, 2025 (20 Farvardin 1404), the campaign aims to foster a love of reading among young people and support literacy for underprivileged children throughout the country.
The campaign encourages children and young adults under the age of 18 to visit BookCity bookstores during their Nowruz travels. Participants are invited to create short videos within the stores, sharing their thoughts on their favorite books. Videos can be submitted via Telegram or WhatsApp to 09912265703. Entrants should mention the UNICEF and BookCity Nowruz reading campaign at the start of their video.
As part of the initiative, UNICEF Iran and BookCity have pledged a “One Video, Two Books” commitment. For every video received, the partnership will donate two children’s books to underserved communities.
Selected videos will be showcased on the official social media platforms of both UNICEF Iran and BookCity.
